Job Description:
Position Summary Reports to the Executive Director and is
responsible for communicating strategic direction & implementation
of a philanthropic communications & marketing plan for internal &
external audiences of the University Advancement office. Create,
execute strategies & programs that articulate the University’s
fundraising priorities with messaging that reflects the culture,
values & achievements of the university community & celebrate the
generosity & involvement of alumni & donors. Elevate & raise the
visibility & profile of the dept. & forge partnerships across the
institution between the Office of Communications and Marketing,
College Deans, & other senior leadership. Focus to increase the
University’s share of voice in the philanthropic marketplace & work
in shaping positioning, branding, & messaging to meet donor
objectives. Essential Functions - Excellent writing and reportorial
skills - Excellent strategic thinking skills. - Expertise &
experience with progressive use of digital and web-related
communications. This includes strong understanding of social
networking plus emerging web technologies. - Expert communication
skills.
