Job Description:
Nesco Resource is looking for a 3 rd shift Maintenance Tech in
Bowling Green, KY This position will train on 1 st shift ( Monday –
Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm). When trained the candidate will be
transferred to 3 rd shift (Sunday – Thursday 10:00pm – 6:30am).
PURPOSE OF POSITION: Responsible for troubleshooting systems,
performing preventive and predictive maintenance on all installed
equipment to minimize downtime, while keeping safety as a priority.
RESPONSIBILITY AND AUTHORITY: Support installation and modification
of equipment to ensure quality control requirements are met and
process enhancements are realized. Optimize line up time,
proactively resolve equipment issues, and seek assistance when
required. Monitor work performed by outside contractors to ensure
that AHK's machine standards are met. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE
POSITIONS: 1) Understand and promote AHK's operating philosophies.
2) Follow and comply with all plant safety policies and procedures
standards including LOTO. 3) Troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair
of various manufacturing equipment. 4) Implement and enhance
continuous improvement and lean manufacturing processes. 5)
Effective communication with team members and other departments. 6)
Maintain integrity of safety devices including light curtains,
safety gates, barriers, etc. 7) Make modifications to existing
equipment as required. 8) Ensure equipment meets NEC, OSHA, and
AHK's regulations. 9) Perform PM inspections as required, complete
with all repairs. 10) Minimize downtime by effective use of
resources including response time, technical expertise, tools,
spare parts and external contacts. 11) Monitor and maintain good
housekeeping and daily inspection of equipment. 12) Work inside
manufacturing facility, with some facility needs outside the
perimeter sometimes. POSITION REQUIREMENTS SKILL (Ability to do the
job) -Must have good written & oral communications - Must have good
mathematical and communication - Ability to read and understand
schematics - Ability to use testing and troubleshooting equipment -
Must have a good understanding of rigging, cranes, etc. - Must have
a general knowledge of mechanical, hydraulics and pneumatics - Must
be able to pay good attention to detail - Must have a basic
knowledge of drafting (blueprint reading, dimension drawings, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of computer applications (Excel, Word & others) -
Basic knowledge of Electrical including PLC - Must pose ability to
work in a team environment - Must be able to provide own tools
needed for position - Must be able to work extended hours as needed
to meet customer requirements -Must possess valid KY driver's
license or ability to obtain in 30 days -Fork Truck / Crane /
Tugger certified, or ability to obtain in 90 days EDUCATION: High
School Diploma or GED required; 2-year degree from a technical
college or minimum of five years on-the-job training with
industrial manufacturing facility in skilled trade capacity.
TECHNICAL TRAINING: General knowledge of industrial maintenance
with an emphasis on electrical, mechanical or controls application
