Join Performance Foodservice, a leader in food distribution, as a Local CDL A Delivery Truck Driver. In this role, you're at the heart of our mission to deliver top-quality products to a diverse range of customers including family-owned restaurants and large nationwide chains. This position will have you working locally, allowing you to be home daily while performing essential duties such as delivering food and food-related products safely and efficiently. Safely operate a tractor trailer to transport food and food-related products to customer locations within a scheduled route. Load and unload products from the truck using a hand truck or pallet jack, ensuring careful handling of all items. Inspect delivery equipment and vehicles daily to ensure operational safety. Communicate courteously with customers during pickups and deliveries, addressing any concerns and confirming orders to ensure accuracy. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, hours of service, and vehicle condition reports. Follow DOT regulations and safety standards. Ability to drive safely and efficiently Strong communication and interpersonal skills Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects Familiarity with DOT regulations and safety protocols Ability to handle paperwork and delivery schedules Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A) Clean driving record DOT Medical Card
