Job Description Job Description Position Overview The Mail Shop
Associate & Driver operates mail-handling equipment to seal, stamp,
and affix postage to outgoing mail in accordance with work orders
and United States Postal Service (USPS) requirements. This role
prepares presorted mailings for dispatch and t ransports mail and
materials using a company box truck . This position requires a
valid driver’s license and the ability to meet and maintain all
applicable Department of Transportation (DOT) certification and
medical requirements. Responsibilities include, but are not limited
to, the following: Essential Duties Affix postage to mail pieces
and packages per work order instructions. Seal envelopes and apply
inkjet postmarks as specified. Load stamp rolls onto
postage-affixing equipment. Sort, tag, tray, strap, palletize, and
wrap presorted mail in compliance with USPS regulations. Transport
outgoing mail to the post office and deliver materials to local
destinations using the company box truck. Conduct routine
preventive maintenance on equipment. Maintain a clean, organized,
and safe work area. Perform other duties as assigned. Required
Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability
to read and write in English and accurately follow written
instructions. Valid driver’s license required. Must meet and
maintain all applicable DOT certification and medical qualification
requirements. Experience safely operating a box truck required.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Strong attention to detail and
ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Physical & Work
Environment Requirements Regular standing, walking, lifting,
carrying, and use of hands. Occasional stooping, kneeling, and
crouching. Ability to stand for extended periods, including up to
an 8-hour shift. Moderate noise work environment. Position requires
driving and limited local travel. 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
