Job Summary and Qualifications Cardiac Cath Lab Tech’s demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients served. They are able to scrub and assist the physician during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral angiographic studies. Additionally, they are responsible for recording and monitoring these cases, as well as understanding hemodynamic measurements and valve area readings. What you will do: Positions patients and adjusts immobilization devices. Explains procedures to patients and addresses concerns. Moves x-ray equipment into specified position and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors such as ma, kvp, time and distance. Operates mobile x-ray equipment in operating room, emergency department, or at patient's bedside. Scrubs and assists Radiologists in surgical setting. Maintains and calibrates equipment. Monitors, records and communicates as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems. Assists with transporting patients. Supervises, plans, and reviews the work of technical staff in multiple imaging sections on a daily basis. (Serves as department coordinator when needed) Trains, orients and mentors staff members. Provides safe environment for administering of contrast material. What qualifications you will need: Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date (ARRT-R) Radiography Ky Licensure (RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer Graduate of an accredited program of Radiography 1 year post graduate experience preferred Willing to take call Ability to remain within 30-minute call radius during designated call schedule.
