Join an experienced OB nursing team and provide exceptional maternal and newborn care./n /n/nJob Details/n /n - Location: Dickson, TN 37055 (near Nashville, TN) — Tennessee nursing job / travel nurse opportunity/n - Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,570 - $1,650/week/n - Setting: LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) Unit with 4-bed Level II NICU and 1 OR suite/n - Contract Type: Travel Assignment (12 weeks, potential to extend)/n - Shift: Night Shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour nights)/n - Shifts per Week: 3 (Full-time, 36 hours/week)/n - Unit Details: 9 LDRP beds, 1 OBED bed. No techs or unit secretaries are available in this unit; nurses are responsible for all patient care and clerical duties./n - Patient Ratios: 1:1 active labor, 1:3 couplet care, 1:1 newborns until stable, NICU 1:3/n - Documentation: Meditech and CPN experience preferred/n - Dress Code: Pink and/or brown scrubs (per infant security policy)/n /n/nQualifications (Labor & Delivery Nurse / L&D RN)/n /n - Active RN license (Tennessee or compact state) — must meet state licensing for travel nurses/n - Minimum 1 year recent Labor & Delivery experience; charge nurse experience required/n - BLS and NRP certifications required; Fetal Monitoring training required/n - Hands-on experience in labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum, and newborn care/n - Advanced skills in fetal monitoring, inductions (Pitocin, Cervidil), and OB emergencies (shoulder dystocia, postpartum hemorrhage)/n - Ability to float within facility as needed; strong teamwork and communication skills/n /n/nKey Responsibilities (Labor & Delivery / OB Nurse)/n /n - Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to mothers and newborns across labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum phases/n - Serve as charge nurse as needed; lead and support the clinical team during night shifts/n - Perform and assist with C-sections, circumcisions, intrauterine monitoring, and vacuum/forceps-assisted deliveries/n - Manage fetal monitoring and respond to OB emergencies with proficiency and calm leadership/n - Conduct daily patient rounding, safety checks, and family-centered education/n - Accurately document patient care in Meditech and CPN systems/n - Collaborate with experienced RNs, neonatal staff, obstetric providers, and the multidisciplinary team to optimize maternal-fetal outcomes/n - Maintain compliance with unit policies and participate in ongoing perinatal education and training/n /n/nWhy Join This Team/n /n Join a unit known for its experienced staff, supportive team culture, and opportunities to expand your skills in labor, delivery, postpartum, and neonatal care.
