Plastics Engineer Process Engineer Manufacturing Engineer Medical Devices Plastic Molding Injection Mold Blow Extrusion Tooling Designer Moldmaking Lean Applications Thermoplastics Thermoset _ .

Expert in elastomeric molded components for medical devices needed for Tooling Engineer role. Work with a team of expert process engineers, project managers, and molding technicians producing medical silicone products such as: valves, seals, grips, injection ports and implantables.

Shall:

*** Coordinate design and prototyping activities for new products.

*** Address manufacturability issues based on material selection, design geometry and molding capabilities.

*** Oversee tooling & mold design and fabrication from third-party machine shops.

*** Drive project activities from tooling design through to manufacturing.

Requirements:

*** 5+ years experience leading tooling projects for plastic and rubber products.

*** Knowledge of Liquid Silicone molding capabilities and tolerances.

*** Familiarity with FDA requirements and Good Manufacturing Practices for medical device manufacturing.
