Job Description:

We are currently seeking an Engineer I to Senior, that can sit in our Owensboro, KY office. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing engineering and technical support to Operations, Engineering and Construction, System Planning, System Optimization, and Asset Reliability. The incumbent will evaluate and select both reciprocating and rotating compression equipment for new applications, optimize existing equipment, run predicted compressor performance at specific operating conditions, and manage various maintenance and capital projects. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES LISTED BUT NOT ALL INCLUDED: This position will conduct performance tests on compression equipment, provide recommendations to improve equipment efficiency and reliability while reducing operating and maintenance costs. Will generate compressor load curves, support of foundation/skid/frame alignment and leveling and assist in pulsation/vibration studies. Position will remote monitor compression equipment, providing troubleshooting support to field locations, as well as analyze historical trend data to predict failures. REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering discipline PREFERRED EDUCATION: Reliability Certification REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE: 1-5+ YRS Thermodynamics as it relates to the processes of compression as well as combustion Strong computer skills (Advanced in Microsoft Excel / VBA programming preferred) Strong interpersonal, written, verbal communication 1-5+ YRS Interpretation of Performance curves (i.e. engine load curves, head vs flow maps, fuel curves) Mechanical aptitude Commitment to team and personal safety and ethical business practices Maintain a valid driver's license with safe driving record PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE: 1-5+ YRS Reliability Tools (i.e. Root Cause Analysis) 1-5+ YRS Project Management 1-5+ YRS Engineering economics Current knowledge of Oracle EBS 1-5+ YRS Experience in sizing and modeling of compression equipment for natural gas or other medium 1-5+ YRS Understanding of compressor station operations and compressor station systems 1-5+ YRS Experience in troubleshooting and maintenance of rotating machinery. 1-5+ URS Processing Equipment ADDITIONAL INFORMATION : Boardwalk Pipelines, LP maintains a drug-free workplace and will require pre-employment drug & substance abuse testing before hire.
