Job Description Job Description Overview Coordinate compliance
for federal, state, and local tax filings for the Company
(excluding payroll filings) by managing calendars, compiling
supporting schedules, and partnering with external tax advisors for
the preparation and filing of federal and state income tax returns.
Support tax compliance for a multi-entity, multi-state organization
by coordinating requirements across legal entities and
jurisdictions and working closely with internal stakeholders and
external consultants on corporate taxation, sales & use taxation,
tax audits, and tax planning initiatives. Responsibilities Identify
and participate in process improvement initiatives that improve the
customer experience, enhance workflow, and/or improve the work
environment. Ensure that all employment practices are administered
fairly and without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual

amnesty, or veteran status in accordance with applicable federal,
state and local laws. Monitor and analyze department work to
develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while
maintaining a high level of accuracy. Support
monthly/quarterly/annual tax-related accruals and reconciliations
(state and local, and property tax), including documentation and
variance explanations as needed. Coordinate the preparation and
payment of annual local business licenses and informational returns
and the preparation/filing of monthly/quarterly sales and use tax
returns (internally or through external providers, as applicable).
Prepare, maintain, and distribute entity W-9 forms to internal
stakeholders and external parties to support tax compliance and
reporting requirements Prepare, reconcile, and deliver multi-entity
schedules and workpapers required by the external tax firm for
federal and state income tax filings; review drafts for
completeness/consistency and coordinate internal approvals.
Coordinate multi-entity tax data collection and deliverables across
multiple states and legal entities (e.g., trial balance tie-outs,
entity activity summaries, fixed asset support, and state
apportionment inputs as requested by external tax advisors).
Coordinate resolution of state and local tax notices across all
locations and legal entities, partnering with external tax advisors
as needed. Coordinate property tax compliance performed by the
external firm (including personal property): provide data, review
drafts for reasonableness, and track filings and support through
completion. Coordinate submission of real estate and tangible
property tax bills for payment and maintain supporting
documentation. Coordinate real estate assessment reviews with
external vendor/provider and maintain documentation and follow-up
items. Assist with the coordination of annual audits, including
preparing audit schedules of assigned accounts and consolidated
schedules. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or
related field required. Minimum of two (2) years related
experience. Experience supporting tax compliance in a multi-entity,
multi-state organization, including coordinating deliverables
across multiple legal entities and jurisdictions and working
effectively with external tax advisors. CPA, CMA, or MBA are
preferred. Knowledge of GAAP accounting. • Proficiency in account
reconciliation and balancing required. Experience with accounting
software; NetSuite preferred. Must possess excellent mathematical
skills including budget/variance reporting and statistical
analysis. Effective verbal and written English communication
skills. Demonstrated intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft
Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook, Internet and Intranet
navigation. Highest level of professionalism with the ability to
maintain confidentiality. Ability to communicate at all levels of
organization and work well within a team environment in support of
company objectives. Customer service oriented with the ability to
work well under pressure. Strong attention to detail and accuracy,
excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize,
coordinate and simultaneously maintain multiple projects with high
level of quality and productivity. Strong analytical and
problem-solving skills. Ability to work with minimal supervision,
take initiative and make independent decisions. Ability to deal
with new tasks without the benefit of written procedures.
